Curtis was born in Montgai Vicenç (Lleida) in 1946. In the years he moved to Barcelona where he studies. From 21 years started in photography, and develops work as a freelancer for various advertising agencies, participating in various competitions and were awarded in several of them.
Self-taught painter until 1986 where he began his studies of Fine Arts, receiving training from several teachers of high standing, such as Angel Badia Camps, a painter who exhibits at the Sala Parés.
In 1991 he made a series of trips around the Mediterranean, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera, where the light hits him and white contrasts of architecture with the strength of the blue sea.
Anxious to expand his knowledge, he moved one season to the Greek islands, especially Santorini and Mykonos, where just perfecting his style, contrasting the light of the Aegean domes of different colors and architectural forms of these islands.
Back to Barcelona, where it takes real awareness of his vocation as an artist and just forged a unique style: flat paint geometric shapes. From now fully dedicated to it, so as to exhibit their work in Spain and abroad.
Vicenç Curto's work is a reflection of light and serenity of the Mediterranean forms.
